CALL TO ORDER:
President Walt Metcalf called to meeting to order at 7:07
p.m. Location: Medley home.

Cecilia
Rexford moved that the minutes from May 30, 2007, available
on the website, be approved, Allen Grizzard-Paul, seconded -
passed.

Business:
Bill Adams
commented on the fact that we have not spent the entire
fund budgeted for the library project. Don Medley stated
that he had Mary Goldberg scheduled to be the speaker at the
August 21, 2007 meeting. She is to give us a six month
status for library functions. Decisions for the funds is
tabled until after the August meeting.
Walt Metcalf
presented, for possible consideration, the possibility that
the Club might contribute for a brick with the Club name
inscribed at both the new foundation building and the
Pediatric Trauma Project.
Walt Metcalf
also noted that with the status of the treasury the Club
could consider giving a second service award this year.
Walt Metcalf noted that there will be a DCM on July 18, 2007
in Carpentaria and it is hoped that we will have at least
four attendees for an interclub. The drawing for the
tablecloth raffle will take place at the DCM. Walt Metcalf
noted that now is the time to make arrangements for an
installation dinner. Bill Adams will head a committee and
will follow up on checking on a meeting room at the new
Camarillo library. Time frame was set for late August or
early September. Walt Metcalf commented that he will not be
able to produce the annual calendar/member address list. He
ask that anyone with software that can create a calendar
the size of our pocket size booklet please contact him.
Joe announced
that Peanut Day this year will be October 27, 2007 and, that
with Bill Adams being the President-elect, we will need a
new person(s) to oversee this project.
Cecilia
Rexford requested help working with the kids. She
particularly needs people to help with High School program.
Don Medley
noted that there were six scholarships awarded. One from
Rio Mesa, Lauren Kirkpatrick and her parents were at our
June 26 meeting. The other recipients are invited to also
attend our meeting.
Don medley
read several thank you letters from organizations to which
the Club has contributed.
Don Medley
announced that Sandra Burkhart has not been able to contact
Tania Mandernacht and that she recommended that based on
earlier discussions at board meeting Tania’s membership be
terminated. Don Medley has filed the paperwork including a
letter to Tania and forms to Kiwanis International.
Don Medley
passed out copies of the Club attendance for the months of
January through May 2007 and several questions were
discussed as to attendance of some members. It was noted
that William Jones was transferred and was no longer a
member. It was noted that Mary Grizzard-Paul has requested
a three month leave, Sandra Burkhart have ask for leave
because of work related conflicts, Lois Thompson and Carole
Warren awarded sick leave. All Leaves were approved.
Bob Garboury
noted that Cynthia Brown and Robin Hatter are several months
behind in payment of dues and that he has sent them several
reminders. He recommends that the Club consider terminating
their membership. This was tabled for discussion at a later
meeting.
Bill Adams
will be at the International Conference in San Antonio,
Texas and will be the Club official delegate. Don Medley
announced that Roy Talley has agreed to be the Club second
delegate and all paperwork has been completed for making
that possible.
