Report on CLE training; Joe
Dilibert/Don Medley/Anne Zachry
Anne Zachry, Joe Dilibert and Don
Medley reported on the CLE training. It was felt that it
was good. Lt. Gov. Robinson joined in the comments as this
was the first time the training included more that just
Division 42 Clubs - this was regional training so we were
able to meet and converse with people from the clubs in the
other two Divisions in our region.
Club Magazine items
Anne Zachry discussed the club
magazine, particularly ways of receiving items for
publication. She has set the Club up on FACEBOOK which
should help. She also presented an idea for a contest that
asks for ideas for new projects for the Club. Quarterly
these will be reviewed and the best would result in 5
tickets in the toilet bowl. She moved the idea, Linda
Thayer-Gaboury seconded - passed.
Kiwanis Doctors -Anne Zachry/Joe
Dilibert
Anne Zachry has been in touch with
Cal-Nev-Ha about the Kiwanis Doctors Program. With this
program, the doctors would conduct PTP training sessions for
local medical personal. The Club would need to make contact
with a local medical facility. There may be the expense of
snacks and lunch and maybe some duplication of materials.
Cal-Nev-Ha reports that most of this kind of expense has
traditionally been covered by the hospital where the
training is held. A question was asked as to the continuing
education credits provided by this training. Anne will
follow up. It was moved by Walter Metcalf that the Club
move forward with this project, Cecilia Rexford seconded, -
passed.
Peanut Day - Joe Dilibert
The price of the peanuts has gone up
and Joe recommends we increase the price of a box from $35
to $37. Also he set the day for give away as October 25,

manufactured home park in Ventura, September 30, 2008 at
6:30pm was moved by Anne Zachry, Walter Metcalf seconded -
passed.
District Life Membership - Don
Medley
An email has been received from
Division recommending that clubs consider a Division Life
Membership for long time members as a way to recognize their
service. A membership costs $487.50. Don Medley asked the
board to think about this and if they want to do it, who
should receive it. Please remember that the Club has
already paid for two major awards this year.

Cecilia Rexford
A check for the $500 budgeted amount
was provided.
