called the meeting to order at 7:33 p.m. at his
home.

June Minutes’ approval moved by Cecilia and
seconded by Walt. Approved as written.
TREASURER’S REPORT:
Bob Gaboury passed out written statement:

BUSINESS:
Erin Roberts attended the
International Conv. and will submit an updated
expense account a..s.a.p
Letter from Brett Lane ,read
by Bill Adams, requesting a donation of $1000 to the
YMCA “Youth and
Government” Program. Walt
moved we donate $1200 to cover the cost of 1
youngster to attend.
Darryl seconded it . Approved
unanimously.
Report by Bill of meeting in
Costa Mesa- “Growth depends on the younger
generation”
Letter from Bristol-Myers
Squibb thanking us for contribution in memory of
Mans Williams.
Request from Lion’s Club
asking for $$ to support their their “Cub Run” No
funds available.
Possible Club shirts with a
large ID Logo imprinted- Tabled
“Kids to Camp” appeal --
Tabled
Salvation Army appeal for
“sends Kids to Camp” -$250 each. Tabled but will be
considered on next year’s
budget.
Fall Conference: Only Don
Medley is registered. He will go on Friday and
return Sat. (Aug. 14-15)
Nellie Valentine - Update on
Fiesta- Times to be arranged - Bingo -6hrs Saturday
and Sunday.. The
later time frame the better
was suggested.
Anne Zachry: Suggested we get
people to join the club by inviting them to
participate in a Service Proj.
A letter from Jeff Smith -
(egreenrecycle.com ) Bill will check with him to
see if we can participate in this
fund raising project of
recycling technical hardware (i.e.- computers,
printers,cell phones, etc.)
