After discussion, Ron Shively moved the Club challenge members to provide gifts for a selected family. Cecilia Rexford seconded.  Bill Adams and Anne Zachry recommended a family that has a youngster with a serious health problem.  Bill Adams will check with the family to insure that they will accept our help then provide the Club with the names and ages of the children in the family.  A date for delivering the gifts will be decided.

Interclub visits? Metcalf and Medley

This item is already underway.  Don Medley simply stated that he thought we should go to more inter-clubs this year than we did last year.  There was general agreement.

Salvation Army Day. Medley

December 6, 2008 has been cleared with Major Lo at the Salvation Army.  He will write letters to the stores where the bell ringers will be.  Don Medley will send and pass a sign up sheet.  December 6 was chosen so we do not conflict with the Camarillo Parade on December 13.

Joe Dilibert received an appeal from the Rose Float Committee asking for volunteers to help with check-in and lunch on December 7, 13, and 20.  These are called dry days and have only a morning shift.  The decorating days begin on December 26 with two shifts.  Members and family members and Kiwins, Key Clubers and Circle K members are welcome.  Darryl will be ask to follow up with the SLP program.

There has been a request for help for a child with Autisum.  Anne Zachry, Linda Thayer-Gaboury and Cecilia Rexford  know about this child and provided insight into what  need to be done and how to go about doing it.  The problem has already been addressed with the Kiwins but the matter will be checked on further.

Joe Dilibert reported on Peanut Day.  There were problems with conflicts with Boy Scouts and many other collections as well as a down economy this year.  Our income is down.  There were suggestions that we have our Peanut Day at a different time of the year but still have box sales around Halloween.  There will be more discussion about this at later meetings.  Joe Dilibert still has several boxes of honey Roasted that can be sold.

Bob Gaboury reported that there is a change in the process for Builders club dues payment.  International has set a policy that all Builders Clubs will pay a set fee of $350 and they do not keep lists of the members.  There was discussion about the Builders Club at Los Primeros.  Darryl Sobelman will be asked to check on this Club to insure it is active then Bob Gaboury will send the necessary payment for one or two Clubs to International.

Cecilia Rexford reported that the Camarillo Kiwins are having a fund raiser at Topper Pizza on Tuesday 11-11-08 from 5 to 9 pm.

Bill Adams reported that there may be a problem with the date selected for the Celtic Fair as it may conflict with a Fair in the Sacramento area.  The Fair committee will discuss this and report back.  A new date around May 1st is a suggestion.

There was discussion about the new banner we purchased.  It is in need of repair and a brief discussion noted that maybe we should seek a refund and try for something else.  Bill Adams will follow up.

Adjourn __8:47 pm ___
